5 Small Goals For This Fall.

In the beginning of summer I challenged myself with 5 small goals to do during the summer. It was quite fun so I decided to continue with the challenge. Like last time I tried to choose things that would be quite easily accomplished but without this "pressure" I put on myself as easily left undone.

Finishing all my WIPs means the ones that I have started ages ago but are still pending, such as the two blanket projects I'm working on. It doesn't mean that by the end of the year I shouldn't have anything on my needles, just finishing what I have started before casting on for new ones. And the one about the Christmas presents: last year I left it so late that I was still weaving in yarn ends on the morning of Christmas Eve. This year I'll try to start earlier!

So let's see how I fared with my summer goals.

1. I didn't quite make it to a total of 100 km. I'm actually some 7 km short of it. A couple of flues and extraordinarily hot July were the main reasons for my laziness, as well as the holidays abroad. Even though I didn't quite reach my goal I'm really happy: I only started to go for runs a year ago and the kilometers I ran this summer probably exceed what I've run before put together.

2. I made two actually! Not really the layered cream-and-strawberry-cake I had in my mind in the beginning of the summer, but neither of us (me or Magnus) is a big fan of cream cakes so I decided why bother when I can make something we actually really enjoy.

3. We were on more than one!

4. I knitted the Koi No Yokan lace scarf.

5. My back is really stiff, and not really bendy at all. In addition I have a previous shoulder injury which combined with my stiff back results in me still not being able to bend my back into the wheel pose. But I can do the bow pose, not perfectly but well enough for it to qualify and be recognized as the bow.

    2. Vaasassahan minäkin. En kyllä yhtään osannut arvata aiemmin. Tuosta Lyseon seinästä vain tunnistin :) aika kiva sattuma!

    3. me ollaan asuttu täällä nyt reilut 3 vuotta. en kuitenkaan edelleenkään pidä itseäni "vaasalaisena", vaasassa asuvana pietarsaarelaisena ennemminkin :)
